Answer:

force is centripetal force. Since the velocity is variable, even though the speed is uniform the uniform circular motion is said to be an accelerated motion. The acceleration thus produced is variable acceleration since the direction of acceleration changes though magnitude remains same.

Explanation:

1. During an uniform circular motion velocity changes at every point of the motion. That is why uniform circular motion is an accelerated motion.

2. The accelerated motion is variable because the direction of acceleration also changes at every point of the motion although the magnitude of acceleration is constant.

3. Centripetal force is the accelerated force responsible for the cause of acceleration.

4. The direction of the force is along the radius towards the centre of the circular path.

And draw the drawing radially towards the centre and the accelerated motion opposite to the radius
