A uniform disc of radius R is mounted on a frictionless vertical axle and made to rotate about it at angular velocity . Now another uniform disc of the same material with half the radius and half the thickness is placed coaxially on top of the first disc. The two discs are uniformly rough over their surface (coefficient of friction = u), so friction acts between them for a time duration t until both discs are rotating with common angular velocity.

Find the value of angular velocity

Find the value of t. [g is acceleration due to gravity]
