The tension in each string are 54 N and 36 N.

Explanation:

Given that,

Length of rod = 5 m

Weight = 90 N

We know that,

The total tension is

T_{1}+T_{2}=90\ N....(I)

We need to calculate the tension in first string

Using balance equation

T_{1}=mg\cos\theta

here, \cos\theta=\dfrac{3}{5}

Put the value into the formula

T_{1}=90\times\dfrac{3}{5}

T_{1}=54\ N

We need to calculate the tension in second string

Put the value of T₁ in equation (I)

T_{2}=90-T_{1}

T_{2}=90-54

T_{2}=36\ N

Hence, The tension in each string are 54 N and 36 N.
