A UNIFORM METER SCALE OF WEIGHT 50 gf IS BALANCED AT THE 40cm MARK, WHEN A WEIGHT OF 100gf IS SUSPENDED AT THE 5cm MARK. WHERE MUST A WEIGHT OF 80gf MUST BE SUSPENDED TO BALANCE THE METER SCALE?? PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS...!!

can you draw the free body diagram for the above question ? ..did you try that ?
..If you already did the basics..why dont ypu try taking the moment around the point where the scale is balanced for the whole system..since the scale should be balance..or in other words in equilibrium..momen around any poin should be 0
