A uniform motion or motion with constant speed does not require a force . Why?

Because Newton's laws of motionrelate any change in VELOCITY (notjust speed) to the application of a netforce. Even though circular motion canbe at a constant speed, its changingvelocity requires that a (centripetal)force be present to deviate from a straight line and maintain its circular path.
