Length of rod= 3m
mid point = 1.5m
When a body is in equilibrium, the resultant force on it is zero and the sum of the clockwise moments about a point is equal to the sum of the anticlockwise moments about the same point.
So,
Clockwise moment = Anticlockwise moment.
Now, Anticlockwise moment = 400N x 1.5m
= 600Nm
So clockwise moment should be 600 Nm too.
Hence, Clockwise moment = 600 Nm
= 600N x dist. = 600 Nm
= dist. = 1m
so, correct ans will be (c)
