  • A uniform rod AB remains in equilibrium position resting on smooth inclined planes AC and BC, which are at an angle of 90° and the plane BC makes an angle of α with the horizontal
  • The sum of all angles in the triangle is equal to 180°
  • lets assume the inclination of the rod AB with the plane AC is x
    (as shown in the figure)

Therefore equation will be written as:

90°+α+x=180°

x=90°-α

therefore the inclination of the rod AB with the plane AC is 90°-α

Hence the inclination θ of the rod AB with the plane AC is 90°-α
