A uniform rod of length 4m and mass 20kg is lying horizontal on the ground. The work done in keeping it vertical with

one of its ends touching the ground, will be? Plz answer with full steps ​

Explanation:

centre of mass of uniform rod is at L/2 i.e. at 2m

initially centre of mass is in contact with ground and finally it is at height equal to half of length of rod. hence h= L/2 = 2m

work = m×g×h

=20×9.8×2

=392 J
