Explanation:

According to the problem the center of the disc will be the center of mass.

moment of inertia of the rod + moment of inertia of the disc= Moment of inertia of the combination.

I= M1L^2/12+ M2 R^2/2

= 3x(1)^/12+ 1(30*10^(-2))^2/2

 = 4+ 4.5 x 10^(-2) kg m^2

  = 4.045 kg m^2
