Answer:

for a uniform wire of length 12.56,centre of mass is at centre i.e,12.56/2 = 6.28

where as when the wire is bent in to circular shape its centre of mass is located at the centre of circle where there isn't any material.

2πr = 12.56,

=> r = 12.56/2π = 1.998,

i.e,centre of mass for a circular shaped wire is at 1.998 untis radius inside from any point on the perimeter of the circle.
