here is your answer...........................

So when the wire is cut cut into equal parts, then the resistance is reduced by the no of parts. when 50 ohm wire is cut into 5 equal parts… then each part will have a resistance of 50/5=10 ohm. ... As 5 resistors each with 10 ohms are connected in parallel,the equivalent resistance will be 10/5 = 2 ohms…

Answer:

2 ohm

Explanation:

According to the question ,

Total resistance = 50 ohm

No. of parts = 5

Hence, Resistance of each part

R = 50/5

R = 10 ohm

Now we are asked to find the equivalent resistance of the combination of these five parts if they are connected in parallel.

So,

We know that if resistors are connected in parallel then their equivalent resistance is equal to

1/R' = (1/R1)+(1/R2)+.....+(1/R5)

Where R' = Equivalent resistance

and Its given that R1=R2=R3=R4=R5

So,

1/R' = 5/R

So, R' = R/5

So by putting R = 10 ohm

R' = 10/5 = 2 ohm ans.
