1. Mansabdari System

The Mansabdari System was introduced by Mughal emperor Akbar as new administrative machinery and revenue system. The term mansab literally means position, status or rank, but in context of the structure of the Mughal administration it indicated the rank of mansabdar- that is holder of mansab - in the official hierarchy.

2. Zabt System

ẓabṭ, was applied in northern India and in Malwa and parts of Gujarat. The earlier practices (e.g., crop sharing), however, also were in vogue in the empire. The new system encouraged rapid economic expansion. Moneylenders and grain dealers became increasingly active in the countryside.

3. Ijardari system

The ijaradari system was introduced by Warren Hastings according to this the right to collect revenue was given to the highest bidder called contractor for a period of five years.

4. Fauzdari System

Faujdari System was meant as Magistrate System. Faujdari adalat was also known. It was known as Criminal Court.
