A van of mass 2500 kg is authorised to carry 14 passengers. If the average mass per passenger is 50 kg, calculate the: (a) weight of the van. (b) weight of all passengers. (c) total weight of the van and the passengers.

Answer:

Weight of Van = m×g =2500×9.8 =24500 N

Total weight of passengers =n(no of persons)×m×g=14×50×9.8=6860 N

Total Weight of Van And passenger =24500+6860=31360 N

Note:Take value of g as 9.8 or 10 m/s^2 as per question
