The relation of displacement current change with capacitor is I=C×dV/dt.
- We can also write the relation as V=I×Z or I=V×jWC.
- This shows the frequency and displacement current as they are directly proportional to each other.
- When the frequency increases the displacement current also increases.
- There is also dependency on the phase when it is with respect to source voltage remain constant with frequency.
- This only happens when there is ideal capacitance.
