A vechicle travels 60.km north and then 40. km South. What is its total displacement?

So lets just say traveling north is positive. And traveling south is negative, if north is positive, and south is negative, therefore, the answer would be easy to calculate this way:

\Deltax displacement= 60 km+(-40km)

=60 km - 40 km,

Hence, then answer would be 20 km.

The total displacement would be 20 km.
