Explanation:

  • LET |A-B| = x
  • squaring on both sides
  • (|A-B|)^2 = x^2
  • MOD A SQUARE PLUS MOD B SUARE MINUS TWO TIMES THE SCALAR PRODUCT OF VECTORS A AND B
  • MOD A =
  •  \sqrt{26}
  • mod B=
  •  \sqrt{18}
  • A VECTOR DOT B VECTOR EUQALS
  • 4 \times ( - 1) + ( - 3) \times 1  + 1 \times 4
  • that equals -3
  • on solving we get
  •  { \sqrt{26 } }^{2}  +  { \sqrt{18} }^{2}  - 2 \times ( - 3)
  • = 50
  • |A-B| = √50 = 5√2
