The given vector can be expressed as

 \bold{V}=8\bold{i}+6\bold{j} .

The angle \bold{V} makes with the x-component is

 \theta = \tan^{-1}(\frac{6}{8} )\\<br />\theta = \tan^{-1}(\frac{3}{4} )\\<br />\theta =36.87^o

The angle \bold{V} makes with the y-component is

 90^o-36.87^o=53.13^o

Step-by-step explanation:

Angle along x-axis will be

                       Theta = Tan^-1 {6/8}

                                  = Tan^-1 {3/4}

                                  = 36.87 Degree

Angle along y-axis will be

                       Theta = Tan^-1 {8/6}

                                  = Tan^-1 {4/3}

                                  = 53.13 Degree
