selling price of 10 Kg onions to gain a profit of 12% = Rs. 168

Total money spent on the onions = 15 × 10 = Rs. 150

2 Kg of the onions are rotten , total amount of onions left = 10 Kg

Given , Profit % = 12

=> Profit % = (profit / cost price) × 100

=> 0.12 = (profit /150)

=> 0.12 × 150 = profit

profit = Rs. 18

Profit = selling price + cost price

selling price = 150 + 18

selling price = Rs. 168

The vegetable seller should sell the 10 Kg onions left at Rs. 168 to gain a profit of 12 %.
