Answer:

Cost Price of 20 kg tomatoes at Rs 8 per kg

= 20 x 8 Rs 160

Mass of tomatoes found rotten=2 kg

Mass of unspoiled tomatoes

= 20 kg - 2 kg= 18kg

Selling Price of 18 kg tomatoes to get 12.5%

Profit = 12.5%

We know that

C.P. x (100+ profit %)/100

Now,

160x (100+12.5)/100

160 x 112.5/100

S. P. = Rs 180

selling price of 18 kg tomatoes = Rs 180

selling price of 1 kg tomatoes= 180/18 =Rs 10.

Hence, the Selling Price of each kg tomatoes to get 12.5% profit is Rs 10.
