A vegetable vendor bought 40 kg of onions for `360. He sold 36 kg at `11 per kg. The rest were sold at `4.50 per kg as they were not very good. Find his profit and loss

Answer:

40 kgs =360

36 kgs =396

remaing 4kgs at 4.50×4=18

total 414

so 414-360=54

profit percentage is 54/360×100=15% profit
