A vehicle had a mass of 1500kg what must be the force between the vehicle and the road if the vehicle is to be stopped with a negative acceleration of 1.7ms

We know , Force is the product of mass and acceleration

F = ma
= 1500 × -1.7 = -2550 N

From Newton's second law of motion:

Force = Mass × Acceleration

= 1500 × (–1.7)
