We have to convert the constant speed which is in km/h into m/s.
36km=36000m—(1km=1000m)
1 hour=3600s—(60min×60sec)
Hence,
36000/3600=10m/s
Hence the distance travelled by body:
10m/s÷0.5sec=20 metre
Hence,distance travelled by vehicle before stopping is 20 metre
