A vehicle is travelling at a velocity of 10 m/s. An
accelerating force of 240 N is applied for a duration
of 15 sec. The mass of the vehicle is 1200 kg. What
is the final velocity of the vehicle?
(A) 10 m/s
(B) 12 m/s

Answer:

(C) 13 m/s

Explanation:

Calculate acceleration using F=ma . Substitute into v(Final Velocity)=u(Initial Velocity)+at to get the answer

Answer:u= 10m/s

t = 15 s

By formula F=m*a

240=1200*a

240/1200=a

a=0.2m/s^2

By formula v=u+at

v=10m/s+0.2m/s^2*15s

v=10m/s+3m/s

Therefore v=13m/s
