A vehicle of mass 1000kg is moving with uniform velocity of 20m/s sand is dropped into it at the rate of 5kg/min the force needed to keep the vehicle moving with uniform velocity

Given :
mass=1000kg
Δm/Δt=5kg/min=5kg/60sec
V=20m/s
Acording to Newton's Second law
F=Δp/Δt
=Δmv/Δt
=Δm/Δt x V[as V is constant]

= (5/60 )x20
=1.66 N

The force needed to keep the vehicle moving with uniform velocity is 1.66N
