A vehicle of mass 1500 kg is moving along a straight line with uniform velocity of 80 km/h. Its velocity is slowed down to 20 km/h in 5 s by an unbalanced external force. Calculate the acceleration and change in momentum. Also calculate the magnitude of external force acting on it

Answer:

Explanation:

80km/h=22.24m/s

20km/h=5.55m/s

the use v=u+at equation to find the acceleration

therefore we get 3.33m/s^-2

so tho find the change in momentum

use p=Δv×m

then to find external force use f=ma

1500*3.33

4995N
