we know (final velocity) 2 = (initial velocity)2 +2(product of acceleration and displacement)
so here final velocity is 1m/s and initial velocity is 4m/s and displacement is 20m
so according to the equation
(1)2 = (4)2 + 2*a*20
1 = 16 + 40a
a= -15/40
= -3/8
the acceleration is negative because the velocity is decreasing
force = mass* acceleration
=20*3/8
=7.5 N
so here final velocity is 1m/s and initial velocity is 4m/s and displacement is 20m
so according to the equation
(1)2 = (4)2 + 2*a*20
1 = 16 + 40a
a= -15/40
= -3/8
the acceleration is negative because the velocity is decreasing
force = mass* acceleration
=20*3/8
=7.5 N
