Let θ be the angle made by velocity with x axis

Y component v_{y } = 5/2

                   v sinθ = 5/2

                  10 sinθ = 5/2

                       sinθ = 1/4

                    ∴ cosθ = \sqrt{1 - sin^{2} }θ = \sqrt{ 1 - \frac{1}{16} }  =  ± \frac{\sqrt{15} }{4}

X component v_{x} = v cosθ = 10 x \frac{\sqrt{15} }{4} = ±  \frac{5\sqrt{15} }{2} m/s
