1 dozen = 12 eggs

16 dozen = 16x12 = 192 eggs .

given per dozen = ₹20

12eggs = ₹20

192 eggs = 192x20/12 = ₹ 320 .

cp of 192 eggs ₹320

given 6 eggs were rotten = 192-6 = 186.

given sp of each egg = ₹2.

so 186 x 2 = ₹372.

sp is 372. and cp is ₹320

sp is more so profit.

profit = sp - cp = 372 - 320 = 52

profit% = 52/320 x 100 = 16.25.

in mixed fraction = 16 1/4.

hence profit % = 16.25.

shelly2025: 65/4
shelly2025: this is the answer

16dozen eggs
1dozen=20rupees
total cp=16×20=320 rupees

1dozen=12
16dozen=16×12=192eggs

in which 6 eggs are rotten
remaining eggs=192-6=186eggs
sold at =2 rupees per egg

TOTAL SP=186×2
=372 rupees

GAIN=sp-cp
=372-320
=52 rupees

So gain percent=gain/cp×100
=52/320×100
=16whole1/4

shelly2025: okay thank you
