Explanation:
- Given that purchased eggs= 4 dozen eggs= 12×4=48 eggs,1egg= Rs.4,
4 dozen eggs or 48 eggs = Rs.4×48=Rs.192,
- If 7 eggs are broken, then the remaining number of eggs are 48−7=41 .
- Hence, selling price of all eggs = 10
= 10/100×(Rs.192+Rs.192) = Rs.211.2 .
- Total eggs he has left to sell = 41. Therefore, he should sell 41 eggs for Rs.211.2
- Selling price of 1 egg = Rs.211.241 = Rs. 5.15
- Cost of 12 eggs = cost of 1 egg ×12
= Rs.5.15×12
= Rs. 61.8
- The total number of eggs is 48 but 7 eggs are broken. So, left out eggs will be 41. But the point is now the vendor would bear a cost of Rs. 192 for 41 eggs. And he has to gain 10% on the cost of 48 eggs and not the cost of 41 eggs, that is Rs.4×41=Rs.164 .

Answer:
Dozen=12
price of each egg=Rs 4
Total price=4*12*4
=Rs 192
Seven were broken=4*7
=21
192-21=171
To gain 10% profit he should sell them at rate of
192*110/100=211.2
12*4=Total eggs=48
Present no. of eggs=48-7=41
To gain Rs 211.2 he should sell each egg at rate of 211.2/41=Rs 5.15
