He spent 4x12x4 = 192 rupees. But now there are only 41 eggs. To gain 10 percent on the whole, he has to sell these 41 eggs on 192 + 19.2 = Rs.211.2. So each egg shall cost Rs.211.2/41 which is around Rs.5.15

Dozen=12

price of each egg=Rs 4

Total price=4*12*4

               =Rs 192

Seven were broken=4*7

                              =21

192-21=171

To gain 10% profit he should sell them at rate of

              192*110/100=211.2

12*4=Total eggs=48

Present no. of eggs=48-7=41

To gain Rs 211.2 he should sell each egg at rate of 211.2/41=Rs 5.15

Hope this helps!
