cost price for 12 lemons = rs 25
cost price for 1 lemons =rs 25÷12 =2.08

selling price for 5 lemons = rs 12
selling price for 1 lemon = rs 12÷5 = 2.4

gain = 2.4-2.08 = rs 0.32
gain% = (0.32÷2.08)×100. = 15.4 %

kvnmurty: if you divide 25 by 12 and use decimals in calculations, you lose accuracy in final answer.

Buying price for 12 lemons: ₹ 25.
Selling price for 12 lemons: ₹ 12 *12/5 = ₹ 28.80 .

Profit = 28.80 - 25 = ₹ 3.80, Or,
3.80/25 × 100 = 15.2 %

We don't calculate cost price per one lemon as a decimal value. If we do we lose accuracy in the calculation of final answer. Also we will need a calculator in that case.
