the selling price per 5 apples  = 16 ₹    

here we need to find his gain or loss percentage

from given data selling price of 5 apples = 16 ₹

        ⇒ selling price of 1 apple = 16/5 = 3.2 ₹    

then total selling price of 12 apples = 12 × 3.2 = 38.4 ₹  

here  selling price ∠ cost price                  

the profit he gained  = 38.4 - 30 = 8.4  

the profit percentage =   \frac{8.4}{30} (100)  

                                    =  \frac{840}{30} = 28%
