The C.P. of 9 oranges is = ₹10

∴ The C.P. of 1 orange = ₹ ( 10/9)

∴ The C.P. of 12 oranges = ₹ ( 12× 10/9)

                                        = ₹ (40/3)

∴ Gain = ₹( 16 - 40/3)

             = ₹{ (48-40)/3}

             =₹ (8/3)

             =₹2.67

∴ Gain% = (2.67/16)×100

               = 100 ×2.67/16

                = 267/16

               = 16+11/16% ( 16 whole of 11/16%)
