A vendor purchase 50 dozens of banana for Rs 450 .out of these 60 bananas were found defective and couldn't be sold. At what rate per dozen should he sell the remaining bananas to make a profit of 10 percent.

10% of 450 is 45 so he has to earn 450+45= Rs 495 in total.
50 dozen means 50*12= 600 bananas
out of which 60 are defective so mainly he has 540 bananas
therefore he has 540÷12 = 45 dozens of bananas, so the rate per dozen will be 495÷45 = Rs 11 ....
