Solution :-
Cost price of 12 lemon = Rs. 20
Then cost Price of 1 lemon = 20/12
= Rs. 1.6666.... or Rs. 1.67 per lemon
Cost price of 1 lemon is Rs. 1.67
Given that the lemons are sold at a loss of 10 %.
Then, selling Price of each lemon = Cost Price - Loss
⇒ 1.67 - 10 % of 1.67
⇒ 1.67 - 0.167
⇒ Rs. 1.503
So, selling price of 1 lemon is Rs. 1.503
Now selling price of 6 (half dozen) lemons = 1.503 × 6
= Rs. 9.018
So, selling price of half dozen lemons is Rs. 9.018 or Rs. 9 (Approximately).
