A vendor sells mangoes at RS.40 per kg. At the end of the day, he found that he sold 30 kg of mangoes making a profit of RS.200. Calculate the cost price of the mangoes per kg and his profit per cent for 30kg mangoes. At what price per kg should he have sold if he wanted a profit of 35%?

ANSWER (RS. 100/3, 20%, RS. 45 per kg)​

  1. Total money for selling 30 kg is

₹40 * 30 =₹ 1200

profit -₹200

So , total cost price for 30 kg is S.P. - profit= ₹1000

C.P for 1 kg is ₹

 \frac{1000}{30}  =  \frac{100}{3}

Profit% x /100 * 200 = 20%

for profit% = 35%

ans is ₹45/kg
