<b><i>LCM of 12 and 10 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 5 = 60

Let the number of eggs bought be 60

CP of 12 eggs = ₹ 16

CP of 1 egg = ₹ (16/12)

CP of 60 eggs = ₹ (16/12 × 60) = ₹ 80

SP of 10 eggs = ₹ 18

SP of 1 egg = ₹ (18/10)

SP of 60 eggs = ₹ (18/10 × 60) = ₹ 108

•°• CP = ₹ 80 & SP = ₹ 108

Since SP > CP , the vendor gains

Gain = SP - CP

= ₹ (108 - 80)

= ₹ 28

•°• Required gain percent

= (gain/CP × 100)%

= (28/80 × 100)%

= (7 × 5)%

= 35%
