find the area of the veranda

Breadth = 5 m

Length = 7.5 m

Area of  ROOM = 5 × 7.5

                         = 37.5 m²

Total Length = 7.5+ 1.25 + 1.25  = 10 m

Total Breadth = 5  + 1.25 + 1.25  = 7.5 m

Area  of  ROOM with Veranda =7.5 × 10

                           = 75 m²

Hence,

Area  of Verndah = 75 - 37.5

                      = 37.5 m²
