the diagram will be like one rectangle inside another rectangle

base area of room will be= 5.5*4

                                 = 22.0 m^2

area of verandah including base area of room= 5.5+2(1.25) * 4+2(1.25)

                                                                            =      2.5(5.5+4)

                                                                            = 2.5 (9.5)

                                                                             =   23.75 m^2

( we are adding 2(1.25) to length and breadth of room because verandah will have1.25 m on both sides )

area of verandah floor = 23.75-22.0

                                      = 1.75 m^2

given cost for per square m = 15 rs

                   cost for 1.75 m^2= 15*1.75

                                               =26.25 rs

Given that,

Area of the room is 4×5.5=22m²

Area of the verandah with room is =(5.5+1.25+1.25)×(4+1.25+1.25)

8×6.5=52

Area of verandah 52−22

=30m²

Cost of cementing =15rps

Total cost of cementing =30×15

=450rps

Thus,

We get total cost of cementing 450rps.
