First find the area of room = 5.5 x 4 = 22m²

Now we need to find out the area of both varandah and room

So length = 1.25 + 5.5 = 6.75m

Width = 1.25 + 4 = 5.25m

Area = 6.75 x 5.25 = 35.4375m²

Now the area of Varandah only

= 35.4375 - 22 = 13.4375

Total Cost = 15 x 13.4375 = Rs. 201.5625 (take only 2numbers after point)

Answer:

450 Rs

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the room is given by 4 * 5.5 = 22m2

Area of the verandah with room is (5.5 + 1.25 + 1.25) * (4 + 1.25 + 1.25) = 8 * 6.5 = 52

Area of only verandah = 52 - 22 = 30m2

Cost of cementing the floor of the verandah = 15 Rs/m2

Total cost of cementing 30m2 verandah = 30 * 15 = 450 Rs
