L = 8m

B = 5m


For veranda -

B 1 = 2m

L 1 = 8m


Area of veranda = 4 × area of rectangle

= 4 × ( L 1 × B 1 )

= 4 × ( 8 × 2 )

= 4 × 16

= 64 m²


Area of veranda is 64m² .
