Answer:

The length of room+ verandah  = 6 + 3 = 9 m

Width of room + verandah = 4 + 3 = 7 m

So area of room + Verandah = 9 x 7 = 63 sq m

Area of room = 6 x 4 = 24 sq m

So area of verandah = 63 - 24 = 39 sq m

Answer:

Area of verandah = 96m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Length of room = 6m

Width of room = 4m

Width of verandah which is constructed all along outside of room = 3m,

∴ Length of room with verandah= 6m + 3m + 3m = 12m

Width of room with verandah= 4m + 3m + 3m =10m

Area of room = Length × Width

                      = 6m × 4m

                      = 24m²

Area of room with verandah = Length × Width

                                               = 12m × 10m

                                               = 120m²

Area of verandah = Area of room with verandah − Area of room

                             = 120m² - 24m²

                             = 96m²

hope it will help you.
