A vernier calliper can be used to measure d) All Of These

  • Inner diameter

  • Outer diameter

  • Depth of an object

First look at the attached photo to understand the structure of the Vernier Calliper.

The importance of the various parts:

  • Upper smaller Jaws are used to measure the inner diameter of hollow objects like cylinder , pipes , cones.

  • Lower larger jaws are used to measure the outer diameter of objects like PVC pipes and thickness of glass.

  • At the end of the vernier calliper, there is a depth rod , that can measure the vertical height or depth of any object.

Hope It Helps.
