Hey Dear,

◆ Answer -

Deflection of needle = 45°

● Explaination -

# Given -

r = 9.42 cm = 9.42×10^-2 m

n = 1 turn

I = 6 A

B = 4×10^-5 T

# Solution -

Deflection of the coil is calculated by formula -

tanθ = μ.n.I / 2.r.B

tanθ = (4π×10^-7 × 1 × 6) / (2 × 9.42×10^-2 × 4×10^-5)

tanθ = 1

Taking tan inverse -

θ = arctan(1)

θ = 45°

Therefore, the needle deflects through 45°.

Best luck for exams, buddy.
