Here is your answer

The length of vertical stick = 15 cm
Shadow = 12cm

Lengths of Shadow = 50 m , hence 50, 000cm

We can find the answer with cross multiplication

15 / 12 = X / 50000
750000/12 = X

Hence the length of the building is 62500cm
Which is 62.5 m

Hope it helps

Answer:

The height of the tower is 6250 cm .

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume that the height of an object be x .

Let us assume that the shadow of an object be y .

x\propto y

x = ky

(As the shadow of an object is always proportional to shadow of an object.)

As given

A vertical stick of 15cm long casts a 12cm long shadow on the ground .

x = 15cm

y = 12 cm

Putting in the equation

15 = 12k

k = \frac{15}{12}

Where k is the proportionality constant .

At the same time a vertical tower casts a 50m long shadow on the ground.

Let us assume that the height of vertical tower be h .

x = h

Convert 50 m into cm .

As 1m = 100 cm

50m = 50 × 100 cm

         = 5000 cm

y = 5000 cm

Putting all the values in x = ky .

h = 5000k

k = \frac{h}{5000}

Compare the equation of k .

\frac{15}{12}= \frac{h}{5000}

h= \frac{15\times 5000}{12}

h= \frac{75000}{12}

h = 6250 cm

Therefore the height of the tower is 6250 cm .
