Heyy friend ! ☺

>> Here's your answer :

Ans 1. Two naturally occurring acids with their sources are :

  • citric acid - lemon
  • acetic acid - sour milk(curd)

Ans 2. When you dip a litmus paper in the solution, the colour change in litmus can be used to detect whether solution is acidic or basic.

Blue litmus turns red in an acidic solution , whereas red litmus turns blue in basic or alkaline solution.

Ans 3. An indicator is used to detect whether an aqueous solution is acidic or basic. A pH indicator detect the presence of H+ or OH- ions and thereby indicate whether solution is acidic or basic by a colour change. They do this by reacting with the H+ and OH- ions of the solution.

Ans 4. Carbonates and hydroxides are the bases used in antacids.

Ans 5. When a red litmus paper is dipped in a solution, it turned blue , it is a basic or alkaline solution .
