Given :
A lady buys grocery for Rs. 350 from a shop. she gives him a duplicate Rs. 2000 note.
To Find :
How much loss did the shopkeeper face.
Explanation :
The lady purchases goods worth Rs. 350 and she gave a 2000 Rs. note to the shopkeeper.
Shopkeeper gave her goods worth Rs. 350. {Lady gets goods of 350 Rs.}
He gets the change of Rs. 2000 from next shop, keeps 350 for himself and returns Rs. 1650 to the lady. {Lady gets 1650 Rs. cash}
Later the shopkeeper of the next shop comes with the 2000 Rs. note saying duplicate and takes his money back.
The shopkeeper of the next shop neither made profit nor made a loss.
Lady gets goods of Rs. 350 and cash of Rs. 1650 = 1650 + 350 = 2000 Rs.
So Total loss for the shopkeeper = 1650 + 350 = Rs. 2000.
The shopkeeper faced a loss of Rs. 2000.
Option F is the answer.
