A vessel contains 100 litre of a liquid X heat is supplied to the liquid in such a fashion that heat given is equal to change in enthalpy the volume of liquid increases by 2 litres if external pressure is 1 ATM and 202.6 joules of heat was supplied then u-> total internal energy

Answer:

Based on given data we already know

Q=ΔH

Here ΔH=+202.6

workdone in expansion=-PΔV

                                       =-1(2)L.atm

                                       =-2*101.325joules

                                       =-202.6J

so based on first law of thermodynamics we get

ΔE=Q+W=0

finally we get ΔU=0 and ΔH=+202.6J
