final temperature of the mixture approximately equal to 50°C.

heat lost by water of temperature 70° = heat gained by water of temperature 10°C

let final temperature of mixture is T.

⇒m1s(T1 - T) = m2s(T - T2)

here, m1 = 220g, T1 = 70°C, T2 = 10°C , m2 = 110g + 10g = 120g

⇒220 × s (70 - T) = 120 × s (T - 10)

⇒22(70 - T) = 12(T - 10)

⇒1540 - 22T = 12T - 120

⇒1660 = 34T

⇒T = 48.82°C ≈ 50°C
