Dear Student,

◆ Answer - (D)

Milk:water = 25:11

◆ Explanation -

When 4 litres of milk is replaced from 24 L milk by water 2 times, quantity of pure milk in final mixture will be -

Milk = x(1-x/y)^n

Milk = 24 (1-4/24)^2

Milk = 24 × (5/6)^2

Milk = 24 × 25/36

Milk = 50/3 L

Water in final mixture will be -

Water = 24 - 50/3

Water = 22/3 L

Therefore, ratio of milk to water in final mixture is -

Milk/water = (50/3) / (22/3)

Milk/water = 25/11

Hope that's all...
